It’s been almost two and a half months since I released an episode that wasn’t an interview. Instead, I have suffered the “catastrophic delays” I mentioned in my first episode. If all had gone according to plan, I’d be working on an episode about Ethiopian emperor Senfa Arad IV (r. Maybe a timeline or a “Further Reading” section. I was going to add a running list of updates, for example, and a regular “Shout-Out” page featuring all the things I’d normally say at the end of each episode.
I was going to add permanent sections to this blog. I was going to do one episode every two weeks, with a bonus episode every other week. When I started this podcast four months ago, I had so many plans.
